We are not in the coffee business serving people,
we are in the people business serving coffee.

Locally Owned

Owned and operated by a local coffee lover! You can rest assured that you are purchasing quality coffee from us, we have studied under a top roaster in New England and have researched where to purchase the best coffee beans in the world!

Premium, Small Batch Roasting

We roast all of our own coffee here, at EB Coffee Roasting! We understand the importance of focusing on quality over quantity. Artisan coffee is not easy to come by these days, but we want to maintain the integrity of each and every batch that we roast!

About us

Our history of coffee greatness

Family is everything. At least that’s the way my grandfather, Earl, saw it. And family isn’t just the one we were born into, it is everyone in our lifetime we are able to reach a hand out to and support for the better.

At Earl Barry Coffee Roasting, we believe a cup of coffee has proven itself as the chief medium for bringing people together, therefore the best way to make our family larger.

While we strive to provide a personal and intimate experience with the carefully selected and artisanally crafted coffees we offer, our pledge is to the people and creating a community worth being a part of. With open hearts we invite you to join our community and be a part of the journey.

Meet Our Head Roaster

Brandon Smith

My journey in artisanal coffee and culinary arts is rich, blending professional growth and personal passion. I honed my roasting skills through intensive training under top New England roaster J. Rene.

This apprenticeship cultivated deep love and proficiency in roasting, shaping my current work. Meticulous processes birth unique flavor profiles in our coffee blends, designed to invigorate mornings. Our team finds joy in being part of your daily routine, delivering quality and pleasure in every cup. Passion drives me to share my craft coffee expertise, a tradition evolving since the 1800s. We aspire to lead in this field, revolutionizing a seemingly simple yet profound experience.

Why we roast our coffee on a lighter spectrum?

1. Retaining Origin Characteristics

Light roasted coffee highlights inherent bean qualities, allowing for better appreciation of unique regional flavors—fruity, floral, nutty, or chocolaty—preserved by lighter roasting.

2. Complexity and Brightness

Light roasts offer complexity, bright acidity, delicate flavors, and a vibrant cup. Higher acidity brings floral or fruity notes, like a symphony of flavors muted in darker roasts.

3. Clarity of Flavor

Dark roasts: bold but mask subtleties. Light roasts: cleaner, clearer flavor profile, like savoring fine wine or delicate tea—clarity is key.

4. Retaining Caffeine Content

Lighter roasts have more caffeine than darker ones—roasting reduces content. Choose a light roast for that extra morning kick.

While large corporate coffee companies often promote darker roasts for their consistency and familiarity, it’s important to break free from the misconceptions they propagate. Exploring the world of light roasted coffee can introduce you to a whole new level of appreciation and enjoyment. I encourage you to give it a try and explore the diverse flavors and complexities that lighter roasts have to offer. Remember, there’s a vast and exciting world of coffee waiting to be discovered beyond what those corporate giants may lead you to believe.
